4. Services and contract performance
Where we agree to carry out roofing or associated works, we will use reasonable care and skill in performing those services. Timelines given for survey visits, start dates, delivery and completion are estimates unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Delays may arise because of weather, safety conditions, supplier delays, site conditions, third-party contractors or events outside our reasonable control.
You acknowledge that roofing and external building works can be affected by factors that are not fully visible until work begins. If hidden defects, structural issues, water ingress pathways, unsafe surfaces, asbestos concerns or other unexpected circumstances are discovered, we may need to pause work, revise the scope, or provide an updated quotation before continuing.
5. Customer responsibilities
To allow us to provide services safely and efficiently, you agree to provide accurate information, reasonable site access and timely decisions where required. You are responsible for ensuring that permissions, consents and approvals required for the works are obtained unless we have expressly agreed in writing to arrange them on your behalf. You must also inform us of any known hazards, restrictions, neighbour issues, access limits or special site rules before works begin.
6. Pricing and payment
Prices, deposits, staged payments and final balances will be set out in the quotation, invoice or other written agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due in accordance with the terms stated on the relevant invoice or quotation. Late payment may result in suspension of works, delayed scheduling, withholding of completion documents or the application of lawful recovery costs and interest where permitted.
7. Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or postpone booked works, you should notify us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to recover costs already incurred, including ordered materials, committed labour, plant hire, waste arrangements, surveys or administrative costs reasonably connected with the booking. If we need to reschedule due to weather, safety concerns or circumstances outside our control, we will make reasonable efforts to agree a revised date.
8. Materials and workmanship
Where materials are supplied by us, they remain our property until paid for in full, to the extent permitted by law. Manufacturer warranties or guarantees relating to particular materials or systems are subject to the relevant supplier’s own terms and exclusions. Any workmanship guarantee offered by us will apply only to the specific works identified in writing and will not cover damage caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, third-party interference, structural movement, extreme weather events or defects outside the scope of our works.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, we shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or purely economic losses, or for losses arising from inaccurate information supplied by the customer, delays outside our reasonable control, pre-existing defects, third-party acts, or events that could not reasonably have been prevented.
